OOOHHH AAHHHH

23 09 2008

Last night at marching band the coolest thing happened. It was like 8:30 and all of a sudden there was a crack and all the lights went out. It was total darkness and it was really Erie. Then some immature people started screaming and moving all around. bad idea when you have a couple hundred thousand dollars of instruments on the field. this hole thing was pretty cool. Then a section leader thought of the wonderful Idea of doing push ups! yea….not that was not fun. Until some rather tired trumpet section (cough, cough) decided to just lay on the ground and look  up at the stars knowing that no one could see us being lazy. It was just being…….conservative, yea that’s a way of looking at it :)

Hi y’all

24 08 2008

Hi I am so tired right now. this is the only day that I have off for two weeks of daily triples and it has been hard but fun at the same time. It is really different from what you might expect from a marching band. We do daily triples for 2 weeks each section lasting 3 hours (more than the football team thank you very much:)) they only do daily doubles for1 week, lazes.then during school we practice every other day from 6pm to 9pm then on Friday we play at the football games, then on Saturdays we either leave at 3 or 4 in the morning to head for a competition which are at least 400 miles away and some are in Washington and California. but if there is no competition we have a daily triple day from 9 in the morning to 9 at night. this goes on till middle of November. It is a love hate relationship:) no,but it is great fun and after you put in the hard work you can see the rewards and take home the championships. so this will be the last post till next weekend.

The Baseball team

17 06 2008

This year our baseball team is doing very good. We are 8 and 2 with a lot of games to go! Our team has been very successful because we have good hitting and pitching. These two key elements are the major skills to have to win a game. Without them, your broke. Today we have a game in another town and have to drive there for at least an hour and a half. They are a new team and were just added to the league. So we are hoping that we will whoop them. From what I’ve heard their field is very nice. “It is almost like a stadium with the nicest Field you have ever seen.” Said my friend Ian. Today will be a fun day and I hope we win!

Peace out
