Well that was a loooong beak away from the blog everything is still the same up here so I guess no change!!

well officially the school year starts this Wednesday. Nah, it will be a good year. (I hope) for some reason I want school to start this year. maybe because I am taking pretty fun classes!!! Geometry, Spanish 1, U.S. History, Junior English, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, And Chemistry. So it should be fun. hope that everyone’s summer was great and full of long lasting memories!!!

At the beginning of the year I had said that I did not know what to do this summer, and I was bored!! well I would say that I was not bored most of the time, we did a lot of traveling and we saw of places that we would not see on a everyday basis. We went to California, Portland, Seattle, Camping on the coast, swimming holes, jumping off huge Rock into the river!! and much much more!!!! I had a lot of fun!!!!

Well now it is time, that lovely, dreaded time. it is the screeching halt of the summer break coming to a stop. now it is early than normal peoples breaks. but remember that I am in Band and Marching Band is starting on Monday!! daily TRIPLES for two weeks. Each block is three hours long in the sun, allllllllll day! I really do love it but it takes a lot of time and commitment.

august 14th was my 16th birthday!!!! It was a lot of fun, we all went to a buffet and had a great time.
And yesterday my friends, my dad, Brother and me went rafting!! it was so much fun. we went really far, Almost a 6 and a half hour trip!!! It was tiring but was a lot of fun!!! the Oregon wilderness is really something else. I love it!!!!!

yesterday my Dad, my friend and I went rafting on the Rogue River. It was alot of fun. we almost missed were we were going to get out but we made it. hope to go again soon.

Last night we “had” to do security for the back to the fifties parking lot. I was ready and prepared for a long and boring night. …..but….. the people who left us there also left the keys to both Golf carts!!! so Me, My Dad, and this other guy drove around in these carts “securitizing” but we had to tell people to leave and such. But we had the greatest Idea, line up alot of cones into a slalom course!!! so we did that we drag raced and other fun stuff, all while helping our city!!! oh I had the greatest time last night from 10pm-3:30am!!!! what kid doesn’t want to ride around a parking lot with no rules except don’t flip!!!!!!

On Tuesday we are going camping as a family for the first time in alot of years!!! we are going to this place called Loeb state park, its on the coast and is amazingly beautiful. so keep us in your prayers because it is a scary road we have to go on. have a safe summer

Well the Britt Jazz camp was soooo much fun!! I learned alot and made lots of new friends. The instructors were the best, they were from all over the country some as far a Tennessee and Kansas!! the kids were from all over the west coast!! one from Fresno, CA a bunch from Washington state and of course Oregon. myself and three other people were the only ones from our high school but that made for alot of meeting new friends. we were each in a combo bad, witch is a small band made up of 3-5 people. Mine was alot of fun. the main focus for these groups are soloing, mainly improv. and then for the whole camp there was two big bands. they were alot of fun. If you have Facebook I have pics up of us preforming on the Britt stage!! we had full sound and lighting and were treated like true professional musicians!! we had catered dinner, security guards, and personal dressing rooms!!!! It was a great experience.

The night before our performance we got to go to a Chris Botti concert!!!! Chris is a mainstream pro trumpet player and someone I have listened too for years. he has the most amazing sound and a really great personality. and we were all but 4 feet from him in a backstage room!!! ahh summer is turning out great!!!!!!!!!!

well Summer vacation is now here and it’s not going the way we kids all expect!!
I know that I always look at the end of the year as a exciting and fun time because we don’t have to go to this “school” thing that seems to take over our lives!! I mean come on 6 hours a day for over 180 day!! that’s a lot of time spent on our butts learning stuff that, we are told, will help us in the “real world”. pff I don’t think so. but know that the school year is over I really wish that I was not so eager for the year to be over. Because I mean now I don’t get to see all of my friends all day, and even tho some of the stuff we learn I don’t like some things are really interesting. now that it is summer I get to stay at home all day and the go to baseball twice a week. that gets boring.
But I know that in order to enjoy myself this summer I need to start a hobby that does not cost to much money or something that does not hurt/kill something. maybe I will try to break a record. yea. well if any of you have a idea I would love to hear it. please be nice (Tina)

I got accepted to go to this jazz camp put on by the Britt Institute and has instructors from all over the country!! I got a scholarship for the ginormous price and I get to go!!! I am so excited it is on June 21-27. uhhh I am so excited I hope I have fun.

Also it is my brothers birthday tomorrow and he is turning 12!!! wish him a happy birthday!!
