If you have a jazz album in your collection it is most likely “kind of Blue” by Miles Davis. It is at a quadruple platinum status in sales and it’s considered to be the greatest album of all time!!!!!! so why today you ask? today was the final day of recording for the album in 1959. If you have not heard of him look him up.!! phenomenal musician

Sunny Sunday

These last few days have been sooo sunny and nice temp around 79-80 ish and it is lovely!! But Today I think is the most beautiful day yet!! ah the sounds of birds and the smell of fresh cut lawns.

Hey

so I hope the email thing worked!!! I had gotten a suggestion for it and I did not know how to do it, but after looking into it I found that it is really not that hard. so I hope you guys can stay updated without being frustrated because I have not posted in a wile.

Today we had a preformance for the south Eugen wind ensable. They came down and played for us and we played for them just so we could get evaluated and used to playing our set of songs under pressure!! It went well, we played our songs quite good. We have one song called “ave maria” it is a choral that some of you may have heard sung. but it is a band version and it is one of the most butiful songs I have ever heard!!!!! we even start out the song by singing in latin!!! Latin is sooo hard to learn, and pronounce. no wonder it is not a language used today anywere!!! Well anyways I hope we do great at our STATE BAND COMPITITION!!!! I cant belive we made it for the second year in a row!!!!!!! We won the districsts (all of southern Oregon) in March. wish us luck

sorry I have not written in a while

hello all I am sorry for not being able to write for a while but I am back and I hope you are to!! I have now started baseball and I’m on the Yankees!!!! our team still needs a lot of work because we have a lot of young kids. There was not enough 13’s in order to have a 13 year old league so they are mixed with the 14-15 year olds this year, so our team is young and inexperienced with the 90ft base paths and the 60ft mound. so it will take time. our band won districts (all or southern Oregon) and we are going to state in may. it is going to be at the university Of Oregon in eugene. wish us luck ☻ my school work is going good and I got student of the month for the second time this year!!! hope you all have a good Easter and be safe!

Sunriver

This spring break I am going to Sunriver Oregon with a friend. It will be so much fun and I hope the weather will hold up. The resort is right near Bend, Oregon and has golf, pool, wave machine, and others. so I wont be able to write for a while (not that I have been) I promise summer I will wright more!!!!!

Ashland

yesterday we went to Ashland Oregon for my solo and ensemble competition. my brass quintet did good and I hope we place high. anyway being already in Ashland we decided to make a day out of it. We went to this Ice cream parlor that also had killer sandwiches, we all had a grilled Salmon sandwich….yum. Then we wandered around ashland for a bit. In like a hour we started to drive back to Medford and stop at this really big grocery store called “win-co” It was cool. Then me and my parents when we were back in Grants pass went to church so we did not have to wake up early the next day (daylight savings) It was a good message. That was our day a good weekend I think ☻

Woo

I just passed my Oregon drivers permit test !! yea and I only missed 3 questions out of 35 so I guess I will only be wrong 8% of the time.. just kidding. I am so excited.

life lesson

Well earlier this week I have learned a great life lesson from my brother. So if you ever find yourself in this position you have learned it here. My brother, after eating din din he rinsed his plate like a good boy but here is were he made the first mistake. he put his plate in a pot that happened to be the exact shape and size. like you could not make it fit any better. and the pot had some water in it so when he put it in his plate slowly went to the bottom and got suctioned to the bottom because of the water at the bottom of the pot. so the next day I here ummf’s and ahhh’s from the kitchen and it is my dad trying with all his strength to get this plate out of the bottom of this pot. so he tries to heat it up, he tries to spread the pot by pulling on it, he tries to get a knife and suction the pot from the bottom to no avail. so we tried filling it with water again,,,nope, we tried to fill it in water then put it outside over night and have it freeze…nope so now my plate that I had custom made in california at a friend’s house is stuck and we cant get it out! so I am made at riley because we had to drill 2 holes in the plate to release the pressure and suction!!! so no more plate but we finally got it out! So the moral of the story is to never put a plate at the bottom of a pot that is the same size because you will have to destroy it
